So I have read and read and read most of the back and forth between people about which game is better. Is it Modern Warfare 3 or is it Battlefield 3? I am simply amazed at the fact that there are so many people sharing their opinion and trying to make everyone else in the world believe that their opinion is the right and only opinion that there should be in this whole debate. What makes me laugh about the whole entire thing is that everything boils down to OPINIONS. Some may say that the opinions of these people are valid, and I can agree with that, other people’s opinions are valid, but they are still just that, Opinions.
See I have an opinion too, and my opinion is this, Modern Warfare 3 is better than Battlefield 3. It’s simple really. MW3 is just a better game in every aspect than BF3 is. I have played them both, and I have played them both on 360 extensively, and sparingly on the PS3. I have played them in HD and in shitty SD. I have not played either on the PC, and honestly, in my opinion, I don’t care for PC games, haven’t in years.
Visually:
MW3 is leaps and bounds more appealing visually than BF3. Call me crazy, call me stupid, whatever, it’s my opinion. And yes, that’s even with the HD texture pack installed…no difference.
Story:
Again, this goes to MW3. Sorry, they have been doing it good for years. Hard for a game that hasn’t come out in years to match up. I think that BF3 tried to hard to incorporate the awesome things that it did in Bad Company into the story that they devised for BF3 but it didn’t match up. Again, my opinion, fuck off if you don’t like it or agree with it. People cry that MW3 is a rehash of what they did in MW2, but remember, the story in MW3 TELLS you that it is picking up where MW2 left off. How does that not make it clear?
Multiplayer:
So many people say that this is where BF3 really shines. Sorry, I don’t see it. I honestly cannot see how BF3 is in anyway better than MW3.
I’m not going to sit here and just blast BF3. I’m not. The sad part, I wanted to see it do really really good and be really good too, for me it wasn’t. I think that having a good shooter out there on the same level as MW3 would be awesome for both games, unfortunately, I don’t think we have that. The really bad part is the way that EA/DICE went on and on about how this game was going to be the MW3 killer, the Game that took on and took out MW. The hype machine was awesome behind this game, as it should have been, unfortunately, in MY OPINION, the hype was leaps and bounds better than the game itself. The funny thing that you hear about MW3 is that it doesn’t add anything to the series. The fact is that noone ever said that this was going to add anything. Activision never made any claims to back up what everyone is complaining about. They never said that there were major additions to the game. They only came out and made claims that the Multiplayer was going to have some additions to it in the form of different game modes, and how you leveled up your weapons and your perks. Just keep that in mind.
So like I said, that’s my two cents. It’s not worth more than anybody else’s two cents, but it is what it is.
